MATTHEW GIRARD

Musician and Audio Engineer Matthew Girard hails from the great state of Maine and resides in Ypsilanti Michigan after building a 20 year career in Boston Massachusetts as both a musician and engineer. He currently freelances with clients out of Transference Audio and is the Managing Producer of the Audio Studios at the Duderstadt Center at the University of Michigan.
 
His experience ranges from performer, session musician, composer, recording/editing/mixing/mastering engineer, mix to picture, live sound production, and studio integration. His work has been featured on FX, MTV, VH1, PBS, NPR, has toured the United States, Canada, Europe, and China -  both as a musician and live sound engineer. His sound compositions and film mixes have been installed at the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, The Power Plant (Toronto), The Museum of Contemporary Photography (Chicago), The Kansas City Art Institute, Edith-Russ-Haus for Media Art (Oldenburg GER), Prospect New Orleans, and the International Film Festival Rotterdam.
